Go from Anxious to Awesome

Overcome anxiety without medication in as little as just 6 weeks

What if you could…

Anxiety is not something that you have to ‘put up with’ – it can easily be resolved so that you feel back in control of your life

Anxiety feels different to each and every one of us….

Maybe you feel like you are on an emotional rollercoaster?

Perhaps you feel overwhelmed or exhausted?

Rocket from zero anxiety to a panic attack in the blink of an eye?

Find yourself trapped in fast downward spiral of racing thoughts?

Scary physical sensations such as a pounding heart, numbness or tingling

Or perhaps it’s something else entirely

Do you want to continue feeling like anxiety is running your life?

You don't have to put up with feeling this way.

Anxiety can easily be resolved – without needing to take pills and medication – in as little as just 6 weeks. Yes really!

Before I tell you more about it, let’s take a step back and talk about what’s really going on

Anxiety is a completely natural human response, it’s designed to be a short term measure which helps us to escape from danger – you might have heard this called the fight or flight response. Human beings are actually the only animal that can turn this response on just my thinking about a potential problem.

It was designed as part of human evolution so that if you met a sabre tooth tiger, you could fight it off or run and hide. These days you’re less likely to meet a sabre tooth tiger and more likely to get triggered by an email from your boss. There are more and more stresses in daily life that can fire off this natural response.

We all have two minds, the conscious, rational, analytical ‘thinking’ mind, and the subconscious mind which is everything else. Your subconscious is like a giant data warehouse of every thought, every feeling, every experience that you have ever had. It’s where we store our beliefs, our confidence, our fears and habits.

Imagine that you were making toast one morning, and it burned, setting off the smoke alarm. The alarm lets you know that there’s a potential danger, so you go back into the kitchen, take the burnt toast out to the bin, and carry on with your day. But what happens if you come home that evening and the alarm is still going off? In fact, it’s still going off weeks, or months later, just in case there’s another burnt toast emergency?

That’s exactly what happens with anxiety. It’s the mind’s way of telling us that we are in danger – but sometimes the safety mechanism doesn’t realise that it can reset after the initial threat has been resolved. Our mind is like that smoke alarm - still going off days, weeks or even months later! Even if we consciously know that we aren’t in any danger – the subconscious mind has not caught up yet.

There are a number of reasons why that can happen, sometimes it’s a habit of thought that you have unintentionally gotten into overtime, or because you are trying to juggle too many things all at once, and other times it’s because something traumatic has happened in your past and your mind wants to protect you from something bad happening ever again.

“If You Always Do What You've Always Done, You'll Always Get What You've Always Got” ~ Henry Ford

What if you could change how you think, feel and respond?

How would your life be different if you woke up each morning feeling calm, refreshed and ready for the day ahead?

What if you were able to think more clearly, and make decisions more easily?

If you could learn how to surf the wave of stress without feeling like you’re being pulled under?

By changing how your subconscious thinks, feels and responds to stress, you can do all of this and more.

Severe anxiety rarely goes away fully on its own, it lurks in the back of your mind, waiting to jump out and declare ‘See, I was right… there is something to be worried about’ – but with the right help you can get the subconscious onboard with what you consciously want to think, feel and do instead.

How does Hypnotherapy help anxiety?

Hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool in overcoming anxiety by tapping into the subconscious mind. During a hypnotherapy session, you’ll be guided into a deep state of relaxation. In this state, the mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions and can address the root causes of anxiety, such as past traumas or negative thought patterns.

Hypnotherapy helps to reframe your perceptions and responses to anxiety-inducing situations, fostering a sense of calm, control, and self-confidence.

Common Questions

1 / Is hypnotherapy mind control?

Nobody else can control your mind but you. As a hypnotherapist I can’t make you do anything that is outside of your personal values or that you don’t want to do. It actually gives you greater control by showing you to how take charge of your subconscious mind.

Hypnotherapy is very different to the ‘performance hypnosis’ that you might have seen on TV or on stage, which is done for entertainment purposes. Clinical hypnotherapy is about creating long-term behavioural changes. Hypnotherapy isn’t a new idea, it’s been used since the Roman times for well-being.

2 / How is hypnotherapy different to counselling or CBT?

Counselling is sometimes called ‘talk therapy’ and it’s usually based around discussing your problems with your counsellor and looking for strategies to help. CBT is a goal-oriented psychotherapy that helps identify and change negative thought patterns.

These can both work well for some people, but others get frustrated that the changes don’t seem to stick. This is because CBT and counselling both operate at the conscious mind level and if the conscious and subconscious minds are not on the same page they can cause a stalemate. Hypnotherapy works at the subconscious level and brings to two parts of the mind into alignment.

If left unchecked anxiety can lead to serious issues

Numerous research studies have shown that anxiety is detrimental to your physical and mental health.

Long-term anxiety increases the risk of physical illnesses such as stomach and heart problems, or mental health issues such as depression, and make socialising, maintaining a job or healthy relationships a challenge.

About Helen

Introduction

Deciding to get professional help is the first step to taking back control of your life and your well-being.

A bit about me....

I used to suffer from debilitating anxiety myself!

It’s entirely possible to go from anxious to awesome…. I know because I’ve been there myself.

From an early age I worried about everything….

  • As a child I'd lay awake worrying about what I'd said or done in case I'd upset someone

  • In my teens I struggled with social anxiety and would be violently sick every time I went out with friends, ate in a restaurant or even just felt uncomfortable

  • In my corporate career I was fuelled by high functioning anxiety but riddled with imposter syndrome and continually afraid of failing  which ultimately led to burn out….

That was until I discovered hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis rapidly unleashed my positive belief in myself, put my imposter to bed, and left me excited about life again, and I want to help you feel the same.

On the 'technical side' I'm a clinical hypnotherapist certified by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Counsel (the UK's gold standard industry body) and registered on the General Hypnotherapy Register, which means that I'm fully ensured and work to the highest level of client care and ethics, so that you know you are in good hands.

“I feel calm and at peace with myself and my life now. I don't stress about little things and I don't worry too much about the future. It is such a relief! I have been given compliments on my "calm energy" and it's the best feeling. In my relationship, I don't stress my husband out by being stressed all the time. It's so peaceful. It truly made such a big difference in my life in just 6 weeks."
